VF Corporation Named One of the Top 100 Corporate Citizens of 2022


DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC), a global leader in branded lifestyle apparel, footwear and accessories, today announced that it has been recognized by 3BL Media in its 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking the company’s work across people and planet, including employees, climate change, environment, and human rights, among other categories.

In 2019, the VF set greenhouse gas reduction targets, endorsed by the Science-Based Targets initiative, to guide the progress of its commitment to the planet. At the heart of this work are investments in renewable energy, responsibly sourced materials, and numerous environmental and socially responsible initiatives throughout its global supply chain. By 2030, VF aims to improve the lives of 2 million workers and their communities through its Worker and Community Development Program. Methodology and scoring

The ranking of the 100 best corporate citizens is based on 155 ESG factors divided into eight pillars: climate change, employee relations, environment, finance, governance, human rights, stakeholders and society, and ESG performance.

Using a methodology developed by 3BL Media, all companies in the Russell 1000 Index are studied by ISS ESG, the responsible investment research arm of Institutional Shareholder Services. There is no charge for companies to be included in the Top 100 Corporate Citizens.

To compile the ranking, company data and information is obtained only from publicly available sources, rather than from questionnaires or company submissions. Companies have the opportunity to check the data collected for the ranking free of charge. The data and information used in the 2022 edition of the Top 100 Corporate Citizens ranking is from March 19, 2021 to March 18, 2022.
