Upcoming South Beach Seafood Festival Spotlights Local Chefs – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

Something fishy is going on in South Florida. It’s about as cheesy as things are going to get at the South Beach Seafood Festival this weekend. Deco has taken the plunge to discover what delicacies from the depths await you.

Listen, foodies. The South Beach Seafood Festival is back.

Tod Roy, South Beach Seafood Festival: “We have the best food, the best chefs, the best restaurants, and it’s the best seafood in the world.

The festival takes over the Beach this Friday and Saturday.

The event highlights local talent.

Tod Roy: “There are other festivals where chefs come from all over. We have them all here, right here in South Beach.

One of these chefs is Chef Peter Vauthy. He runs Red South Beach, an upscale steak and seafood destination.

He brings a signature dish to the evening.

Chef Peter Vauthy, Red South Beach: “We’re making a king crab cake. No one else does that; it’s something very specific to what we’re doing here.

Mirielle Enlow, diner: “I love the Red Steakhouse crab cake, amazing. You think of a steakhouse like a steak, but they have amazing crab cakes, and I can’t wait to have it this weekend at the Seafood Festival.

The VIP Chef Showdown culinary battle ends on Friday.

Tod Roy: “We feature 14 local leaders doing seven different battles. “

The flavors of Mediterranean seafood will shine in the showdown, thanks to Meet Dalia.

Chef Ilde Ferrer, Meet Dalia: “We want to be part of it to show Dalia in South Beach, to show them what we are. “

Now, we cannot reveal what the leader is creating for his battle.
