PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth Restaurant Week kicks off Jan. 22, showcasing the port city’s wide variety of food options and local small businesses.
Sponsored by Portsmouth Hospitality and in partnership with the city and the Olde Towne Business Association, this year’s Restaurant Week will run until January 29.
Participating local restaurants will offer special menus with options for $10 or $15 two-course lunches and $25 or $35 three-course dinners.
“Portsmouth offers a wide range of food options,” said Danielle Babcheck of Portsmouth Hospitality. “We have American, German, Mexican, Italian, Thai, Vegan, European, Seafood and more. All are small local businesses, some of which have been around for 20-30 years.
Babcheck believes Portsmouth Restaurant Week will give restaurateurs more opportunities to show off their diverse types of cuisine.
Eighteen restaurants have already signed up to take part in Portsmouth Restaurant Week. The following restaurants will participate:

- Bailey’s Bayou
- Gosport Tavern
- Cafe Europa
- Thai basil
- Roger Brown Restaurant and Sports Bar
- Olde Towne Public House American Bistro
- The beer garden
- pizza box
- Caption Brewing Co.
- The Coffee Shop
- Bubba N’ Franks Smokehouse BBQ
- Pub Barons
- Griff’s Restaurant and Sports Lounge
- JoJack’s Coffee and Espresso Bar
- Beyond Cellular Vegan Food
