Large food group (MFG), driven by the creative forces and the co-founders Mario carbon, Jeff Zalaznick, and Rich Torrisi from some of America’s most famous restaurants, partners with a powerful developer and builder JDS Development Group, headed by the general manager Michel Stern, design, build and operate MAJOR. : a new residential and hotel tower located at 888 Brickell Avenue in Miami, Florida. MFG’s sophistication and reputation for unparalleled dining and beverage experiences, combined with JDS ‘track record of safe and monumental design, quality and craftsmanship, sets the stage for a perfectly composed maximalism project. At the end, MAJOR. will represent Miami’s tallest building at 1,049 feet.
MAJOR. marks an important milestone in the evolution of Major Food Group, which currently operates a global portfolio of more than thirty restaurants, hotels and private clubs. MFG moved to South Florida in 2021 with several resounding successes: CARBON and HaSalon in the South of Fifth neighborhood and ZZ’s Club private membership location in the Miami Design District. MFG will launch a series of additional projects in the region over the coming year, including several outposts of Sadelle’s brunch institution, starting with Coconut Grove and Dirty French Steakhouse in Brickell.
Located at 888 Brickell Avenue, MAJOR. will feature 259 tailor-made residences and offer the most impressive collection of food and beverage equipment of any building in Miami, if not the United States. MFG will oversee all branding and hospitality programs. Autonomous restaurants and private clubs will be among the concepts.

MAJOR. represents yet another large-scale skyscraper by JDS Development Group. Led by the founder and CEO Michael stern, JDS is a team of innovators and builders pioneering large-scale forms of urban development in the metropolitan areas of New York and Miami. JDS and MFG brought in industry design luminaries Sofield Studio and Ken Fulk Inc. for the project. William Sofield, who will oversee the design of the tower, lobby and residences, has a long-standing relationship with JDS as the interior designer of the ultra-luxurious 111 West 57e Street and historic Steinway Hall conversion in Manhattan. Sofield’s remarkable career includes working with luxury brands from Bottega Veneta, Tom Ford and Gucci, at iconic clubs such as the Core Club in Manhattan. Fulk, a longtime MFG employee, will be responsible for MAJOR’s food, drink and club spaces. Fulk has designed atmospheric spaces such as Carbone and ZZ’s Club in Miami and the new Crown Club at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, among other exceptional experiences for the growing MFG family of brands.
