This might be the best brunch cocktail menu I have ever seen.
Over the past few years, brunch has become more popular. Weekends are for sleeping, which means you don’t want to get up early for lunch. That doesn’t mean you don’t want to enjoy breakfast food. That’s where brunch comes in. Here in the Evansville area, we have so many restaurants with amazing brunch menus. Just discovered a restaurant here in Evansville that has a few dishes on its brunch menu that mixes some of your favorite childhood cereals with a grown-up twist.
Bokeh Lounge offers cereal cocktails
Bokeh Lounge at Haynie’s Corner has a lot to offer in terms of food, drink and entertainment. Bokeh Lounge also offers a complete brunch menu Saturdays and Sundays with a Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar. Not only that, but they also offer four signature cocktails made with the best cereals from your childhood. These drinks were created by General Manager Jessica Nuffer during the pandemic to give customers more variety and a bit of excitement. So she took her love for drinking the milk from the bowl of cereal as a child and created a whole line of White Russians to mimic the flavors of some of the most iconic cereals of all time.
- Peanut Butter Puffs- Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Kala, Frangelico, Milk, topped with chocolate peanut butter puffs
- Cinnamon Crunch- Fireball Whisky, rum chatta, milk, whipped cream, topped with cinnamon crunch cereal
- Fruity Loopy- Loopy vodka, almond cream liqueur, whipped cream and topped with Fruit Loops cereal
- Cocoa Crisp- Double chocolate vodka, Bailey’s, Kahlua, milk, whipped cream and topped with Cocoa Krisp cereal
It all looks delicious, especially the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cocktail. Nuffer also tells me that she is working on new flavors to add to the cereal cocktail menu for this summer!
More cereal concoctions in Evansville
Oh, and if booze isn’t your thing, there are two other restaurants here in Evansville that serve two items on their menu that are grain-related. Catfish Willy’s and Hoosier Burger Company both serve Fruity Pebble Cake Fries, and those things have gotten a lot of attention on social media. You can see them for yourself below.
